Well today we drove into San Antonio and arrived at Mission Trail RV Resort about 1100AM. We set the house and drove into town and walked on the River Walk until our feet hurt. We came back to the house where I got us a pizza at Papa John's and sat back and cooled off and enjoyed the ...

... We rode Journey to Atlantis 100 times as well as Rio Loco (Water raft ride)... Chloe rode all the kid rides that she could but really focused on the "big kid" rides. SeaWorld San Antonio isn't as big as SeaWorld Orlando but still a great park to visit for the day. We actually stayed until close and didn't get bored any of the time. We couldn't have had a more excellent travel guide than Lewis, who has authored many books about San Antonio as well as many other places. Mary grew up in San Antonio - about as good as you can get!! Spent a delightful day w/ their son Maverick in Austin as well ...

... should go on whilst there. However, our first night was spent walking to the ‘Smoothie King’ centre where we to see the local New Orleans Pelicans take on the King of the NBA, LeBron James, and his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. As I am a massive basketball fan and always wanted to see a live NBA game, I stressed to Tam we should arrive at the stadium early to take in the atmosphere, even at the expense of eating which we hadn’t done due to the ****** ...

    Truck-Sized cactus
We have been seeing these gi-normous cactus' since we came into Texas. Some of them are as big as a minivan. Many are more than 6 feet tall. Many times we have seen what appears to be a "cactus farm". They grow like weeds here.

When they say everything is bigger in Texas--It didn't dawn on us that meant cactus.
