Last day of vacation today, and since the previous day of fun was cut short due to rain, we decided to take advantage of the resorts rain check offer, and squeeze in a few more activities before heading down for our all day drive home. It was 106 today--until about 5pm when the sky turned yucky yellow and the wind blew - 39 MPH and we were hit with another Haboob (Google it) wind and dust wall. In about 20 minutes the temp dropped to about 93 degrees. The mama bird is back and----she has another egg! I will try not to frighten her!

We had planned to hike in and around the rocks at City of Rocks State Park but it was thundering and lightning that morning so we had to take a few pictures between the showers and put it off for another time. We drove most of the day seeing varying amounts of rainfall during the trip. In one area just out of Lordsburg, NM there was water setting everywhere. I'm sure those desert plants were smiling!
