Today was almost as bad as yesterday. This morning I started off with a 30 mph head wind and by the end of the day it had gotten up to 40 mph. Also it was sprinkling when I started riding and by the time I stopped it was raining pretty hard. I didn't think I was going to be able to ride today when I saw the weather but I ended up riding behind the RV to block the wind. If I hadn't done that I would've probably only made it 20 miles. ...

Aurora is such a beehive of activity! After last week's business tours and campaign event, it was a pleasure to return for the well-attended Home and Garden Show and to meet with supporters and voters.
What made it extra special was that my interview last week with the Aurora News-Register was in the current week's paper on Page 1, so the new people I met were already somewhat familiar with my name!
