And let's face it, for all the very real stress it can be and challenges it brings, we love what we do, we love the adventure, and we honestly feel so privileged to live it out.

I saw a local and asked about a gas station and he said "naw. The closest is in Auckland. No worries you can make it". I sure hope so! We went to the beach and put our toes in the water. The rips were strong and way far out you could see all the surfers. We took in the beauty and took some pics. Did I mention the sand was black? ...

Got back at 4 and had to find somewhere to stay..had a bit of a tease as we went back to our original franz josef backpackers and there was one cabin left, bonus we thought on our first try. So we unpacked the car and headed to the room, only to find someone else in it...they forgot they had booked someone else in! Back in the car to find a place to sleep, finally we got a 1965 cabin with a terrible toilet!! 6 flushes just for a piece of toilet paper! After checking ...
