... Turns out today (Friday, Feb 6) is Waiting Day, the national holiday celebrating the creation of New Zealand.
Then it was off to the ferry to Waiheke (wi-HICK-ee) Island. Our tour guide, David, was wonderful. Three wineries, a brewery, and and olive oil plant best wine tour ever. By the end grandma was a little tipsy, and we were both pleasantly tired.

... hotel until after 1 a.m. and didn’t get to bed till 2:30 a.m. Because the move from Thailand to New Zealand shifted us 6 hours ahead on the clock, and the bad sleep we got while on the plane and in the airport, our internal time clocks were all jostled and well, we were just plum tuckered out. Guess how tired we were? We slept until 4 p.m.!
When we did rouse, it was only because we were hungry. We broke our fast upon the awesomeness of Dennys!!! We feasted ...
... in a little pool and we check out the north end before heading back. Terry decides to walk to the cafe to look for snacks and goes barefoot, he returns 3 mins later sprinting over and crashes next to me on his towel, the sand is soooo hot my poor boy has burnt his feet!
After a day in the sun we both look s few shades darker, and Terry's highlights are coming on a treat. T cooks us his classic omelet and we have an early night.

... field watching people play cricket and walk their dogs. The market was very nice, quiet expensive, lots of different foods to try! Once I'd finished there i decided to head back to the harbour area as it was such nice weather, this time with my camera! It was very busy this time, lots of parents out with their kids playing in the park. There was also a jaguar show thing going on, so there was lots of old men looking at old cars haha. Apparently 1 in 3 ...

insulating and light blocking blinds; fridge, gas stove, sink,
cutlery etc and food storage in the boot; all clean and with
everything working. It felt modern too and after deciding the three
layouts of 'day', 'evening' and 'night' time and perfecting the
routine of switching between them, it was just ideal for us; even if
it was bright green and purple.
