        Run down and terrible Internet

The hotel was rundown,. The night stand was attached to the wall and one of the screws had come undone so the nightstand was at an angle. I think there should have been a light on the night stand but since the light would have slid off there wasn't one there. The only light in the room was across the room on the desk,.

The first night the Internet worked. The second night it was totally unusable.

Allen called Ben Padgett to wish him a Merry Christmas and found out his sister Barbara had come up from Tuscon for Christmas so we invited them over on Christmas Day. I fixed a ham dinner with scalloped potatoes, green beans, rolls and pumpkin ...

... up our “airport shuttle rental car.” The best way to get to DIA from downtown, is renting a car at Avis for four hours, returning it to the airport location and taking their shuttle to the terminal. We paid $13.99 for the rental, a deal.

We said goodbye to our sweetheart, then left for DIA at 1:45 p.m. We returned the car to Avis and upon entering the shuttle bus, discovered we were over-charged! The ...

... a smooth trip...but, uh-oh ! Just learned our connecting flight to Grand Rapids is delayed by 2 hours (1:30pm local Denver time). We're thinking it's due to the thunderstorms that are present even here. Looking outside, the skies look menacing & it's super muggy outdoors (felt the air as we offloaded from the plane to the jetway). Well, looks like we have time for naps! Over & out for now! ...

... It was really cold but we saw some squirrels. We came back had some leftovers for lunch and drove to the lake to do some ice fishing. We walked out on the ice, being careful not to slip. Then we sat on a bucket while Chris or Dad drilled holes in the ice in front of us. We set up our rods and fished. Every child was able to catch at least one ...
