Greetings from Holt and the first day of Pearson and Emery's Summer vacation! How do we know......well no one (including the girl still in school) got up before 7am, they were both still sleeping at 10:13am and when they finally did make their way to the kitchen the first question was, "What's for breakfast?"

So this is sort of a test....to see who might be paying attention and to see who might join us along the way.

This is Jen writing today. It's been one week since Kirk went on Sabbatical. He's done lots of marathon training.....something like I think 40 miles this week! Thanks John Joss for rounding out his week by an 8 mile run on Saturday.

The Prayer Shawl ministry gave each of us a gift to keep with us as we travel this summer. The kids were each given ...

It still seems hard to believe that we're leaving for Dublin tomorrow! I'm finally finished packing (and I think Sherry is, too!), Ralphie is at grandma and grandpa's, and Leo is sleeping, dreaming of fun times at the boarding kennel. Maverick has been trying to injure me by leaving tennis balls in high traffic areas. I don't think he wants ...

... to France over 20 times
during my travel career and I learned more on this trip than all the
other trips combined. We learned about the culture, politics,
history, immigration problems, educational structure, tax structure,
health care system, wine, wine, wine, did I say wine, and really what
makes the French people tick. The French are a very complicated
people and I have a much better understanding of the French and their
way of life, and I like it. ...
