Great day with Jo Anne and now ready for bed

... Anne. She is picking up Claire at Tullumarine who has been in Scotland for 2 weeks with Spence.
It's been a great day and now after a lovely meal in Little collins street we are both ready for bed. Michael is already in bed with the footy on.
I'll talk to you all later.

A life with cooking

... so I saved my money for a few months, and Australia came to mind almost instantly. I had been to Italy two years earlier, and considered going back there, but this time I felt like going a bit further, somewhere more ambitious. Australia was a place that had always intrigued me, and so there it was, I had decided on my destination. When some people travel, they like to just go to a place and wander, go where the wind takes them, in other words. Me, I like to plan where I ...

... first out of my uncle's car when he dropped me off at the next class. I can definitely feel it working though and now I know how to break someone's neck if I ever get attacked - which obviously is what every girl has ever dreamed of learning how to do. My first class Dale introduced me and said: "Right everyone this is Claire, Jac's cousin from Scotland. The one I told you all about. Lads you know the drill, you've all been warned, think about it, think again and then think for a ...

June 18: Day 53 Hanging out with cousin's in Melb

... I was probably being set up, I did not care and erred on the side of caution, continuing to clap my hands as my feet sunk into the deep grass and I stepped over the luxurious snake habitat. We found the ball eventually without any snake encounters and returned home placing the prized footy back on Jason’s son Hunter’s bed.

After a short rest and a sandwich, Jason and I figured we were ready to go again.  We headed across the street to get a ...

Melbourne Part 2 Best and Worst Bits

... myself and succeeding in putting together a great placement (thanks to those others who helped make this possible).
- Returning to the City I love
- Confirming I want to be a Product Technologist and can't wait to start!

Worst Bits:

- Stress from uncertainty of last minute confirmations/changes
- Getting my hopes up about several possibilities which didn't pan out
- Not actually meeting any indigenous people in their home territory ...

Melbourne

... we got tickets to see "Wicked" the musical. Good show, very cleverly done. Today we hired some bikes and took a cycle around the Yarra river and finished off our visit tonight with a Vietnamese meal at one of the many Vietnamese restaurants in the Richmond area of the city...yum. Tomorrow we have a 13 hour bus journey back to Sydney where hopefully we will pick up our Indian and Vietnamese visas without issues and then be on our way to the East coast.

Phillip island and the great Ocean road...

... this is quite a drive form Phillip Island but after three hours we had passed Geelong and headed down into Torquay for the start of the ocean road. The coastline I here is breathtaking, steep limestone cliffs fall away into the clear blue ocean with bush land and birds of prey wheeling overhead. We get onto the road and take our time surveying the magnificent scenery until we get to Torquay where Kim wants to try her hand at fishing once again. I leave her to it and read my book in ...

The " Big Wet" in Melbourne

... and try and find a last minute jobbie with another company. Moral of the story is to stay away from Apollo rentals in Australia or anywhere else for that matter. we lodged a complaint with Tourism Australia but their was little else we could do. not a pleasant experience to end our Melbourne time on but at least we had the crazy storm, record rain fall and the fact that we would be sleeping in atent for the next 3 days to look forward to.
