... the city. Just beautiful. The GPS put us at 2150ft above sea level as we headed straight up to the top of Lookout Mountain – home of a decisive Civil War battle. The large gap between the mountains, along with it strategic rail location, made Chattanooga a must win for the north. It was also the gateway to the north’s push toward the deep south. The battle painting I photographed was 10 feet tall by 40 feet wide. No ...
Athens, Tennessee, United States dnesossi... to myself, "Where will this painting end up at"? Also so many people sitting in the grass just writing, so it came to my mind, maybe the next "Hemingway, or Tookay" is sitting just feet away from me waiting to be inspired. And this sight alone inspires something deep inside any adventures heart. Even the laughter of ...
Madisonville, Tennessee, United States duglas1967... of thanks, his efforts and success in the early years of the association helped create the strong foundation we all now build on. It was great spending time with the Mortimer's in their beautiful Tennessee home. John does many screened in porches and it's a good thing because the mosquitoes are so BIG in Tennessee they could carry away your small children!
Sweetwater, Tennessee, United States nadrahq... Sam and Kevin had some guests over and we sang and played some guitar. A very pleasant evening. Said goodbye to everyone as I was going to head out before the dawn the next day. am said she wanted to give me $25 for gas and I said thank-you as the family had already done alot for me. I met great people there and learned valuable lessons. Went to sleep very late and grateful.
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States gratitude... shops and no streets in the middle. We also met up with Erin, a friend of the family. We walked around and then had a sandwich for lunch. Afterwards we strolled on the grounds and took some pictures. Sam got some great photos of her family for Mothers day. We went home and later on had supper. We watched some tv and her son worked on the computer which had issues. Another good day and late night.
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States gratitude... prices for only a little. We had supper then went out to a biker bar where a friend of theirs knew the person that was playing. The band was really good and when I get the name I will put it up. I had a couple of my usual diet gingerale and we went home about midnight. It was a fun time.
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States gratitude... 2 to get all my Florida ducks in a row. Really wanting to manifest a laptop! Can't wait to see the Florida sunshine. MAybe a swim with the dolphins, or a ride on a jet ski, and really hoping to meet lots of nice folks! I know I will. It sure is interesting meeting different people with different personalities.
Knoxville, Tennessee, United States gratitude... t really master the eskimo turns or whatever they're called. I almost didn't master the art of pulling out of the kayak when it was turned upside down. It's so easy to panic when you're lying there with a kayak on top of you. But oh so fun. We did some whitewater rafting the day after, but it's almost not worth ...
Tellico plains, Tennessee, United States hmmmaA fast walk in Lynchburg, nice houses. It was the second richest town during the civil was, as a local informed us. Off the highway, "Blue Ridge Parkway" road through the national park (again ok but not anything apecial), Floyd, Sparta, where we went to a bluegrass concert, with all the people (cowboys kind of thing) were dancing like in the movies. Sleep outside Abington, in a highway motel again.
