... along the Snake River. This is where we saw a small herd of buffolo right along the road. We made a big loop south and ultimately back north to Thermopolis.

One curious observation, the folks out here take great pride in the height of their mountains. No less than 3 people mentioned to us that in the east, the mountains tops aren't as high as the base of the mountains out west.

Just a 30 miles or so drive to Thermopolis. Checked out the tourist stuff. Mainly the thermal springs. We decided not to go into the pools etc for a swim as there has been some news stating that there is a bad virus in the Thermopolis, Tetons & Yellowstone, lots of sick staff and visitors. Can be transmitted via water. Once again, couldn't find a vacancy in any of the RV Parks at Thermopolis, due to a Rodeo on the weekend. So drove back towards Shoshoni ...
