... running the business. The young lady pouring gave us all that information. Twelve dollars gave us 6 tastings, but she must have liked us because she poured three other wines for us to taste. Of course, we liked the most expensive wine, but sticking to our philosophy, we asked about the Frontier Red Table Wine. She said people really like it, who knows if she was just doing her job and selling wine, at any rate we purchased a bottle ...

We stopped in Santa Maria to visit our son John and his family as well as our sister Sandy and her hubby Vic. We had a nice visit with Sis and her better half but our son and his family unable to visit due to illness. ... and a nice cup of tea. Not long after the lake we started to climb through the mountains and were soon surrounded by snow covered ground and trees. It was magical! Not long after that we started to descend the mountains and went back to views of lakes and trees, but we also noticed that the further north we head, the more it seems to rain. At 1pm we ordered lunch from Gregory and ate a veggie burger in the viewing/lounge car.

... as Blair Fox is the head vinter for Fess Parker (where we had intended to taste) but he also does his own tiny boutique label. That was a really enjoyable experience as he was there with his kids and his wife. His wife serves the wine and chats to you about what he does/his ethos etc. He’s a Syrah man which pleased me!
