Not a whole lot to share for today. We both went to work for most of the day and got on the road about 5 PM for a 4 hour drive to Thomasville, GA, where we spent the night with some friends. We had not seen the NeSmith's in a couple years so it was great to spend some time with them even though it was short. It's incredible how fast kids can start playing with other kids they've never met and act like they've known each other for years in no time at all.

... the HOV there was no drama, and I was out of Atlanta in 45 minutes. Key West is about 1500 km south of Atlanta so the original plan was to do it in 2 days, however leaving a little early allowed me to put in about 330 kms and reduce my daily mileage requirements. Tomorrow I will put in a full day and try to get south of Tampa, leaving an easy day for arrival into Key West on Saturday.
... and I had an incredible pasta dish. I tricked myself all week into thinking I was eating healthy and then just threw caution to the wind! I also had a ton of bread and quite a bit of good wine. Needless to say, I was the first to bed while "the boys" did who knows what. PS. Notice from the hotel window that the sun finally came out - the DAY WE LEFT!!!! ARGH! The trip back was uneventful.
