      ... squim", it's a pretty community of about 6600 people. Sequim’s also known as the sunbelt of western Washington because it’s in the rain shadow of the Olympic mountains.       ... excursion booked for this port. We decided to be tourists and explore the area on our own, for FREE! It is supposed to be a 15 minute walk from the pier into the downtown area, with shuttles available for a small fee if we want to use them. Our bags are pretty much packed as we wanted to have that tedious task taken care of.       ... floating wharf where had the most amazing tasting halibut with freshly made fries! Was magical! After that we headed to a Buttercup Marsh which was a nice 4km walk there through some nice gardens! Then walked around it 3kms to try and find painted turtles and walked home!
