Super nice place to stay. They have air conditioning! Nice size room, LCD TV, frig, microwave, comfortable bed, nice pool area and a super restaurant. Very friendly staff.

We left Mt Carmel UT at the crack of dawn, drove on the Zion/Mt Carmel scenic Hwy, thr' the 2 tunnels (one is 1.1 miles long) and out with no fee payable, as the US Govt employees had not turned up to work this early. Saved ourselves $25.

... a curve and BANG! Its there. The perfect storm. The perfect combination of light and dark, shadow and contrast, color and depth. And wouldn't you know it..... There is a pull off! You can pull safely to the side of the road and capture all the wonder in the lens of your camera. Can you imagine being on the work crews that built these cliff hanging roads? Was there an Ansel Adams type of fellow on staff that decided where the work crews ...
... truly massive. We cooked up the best chicken fajitas either of us had ever
had in the parking lot. We used fresh avocado and oranges we had got in cali.
We then were rested up enough to do a short hike through the grove. We only had
time to make it to the giant grizzly sequoia and the California sequoia which
had had a hole cut out of it so people could drive a car through it in the
early 1900s. amazingly it had already
grew back over the hole quite a bit ...

We stayed in a lovely Inn called FIrst 1901 we had a garden room with a private patio, featuring my favourite garden accessory- a lion water fountain a vine covered gazebeo, and an orange tree in full bloom just outside our door. The inn offered guests complimentary cookies, wine and cheese and canapés at 5pm prior to dinner, so it was very civilised and bru ha! Right up our street. Napa has a laid ...
