I have heard of many great things about Thailand and is looking forward to it. It will be exciting for me. I believe that this experinence abroad I would likely experience something I have never heard or seem before. This would be one of the cultural changes, I would likely benefits from Thailand.

Im Giant Forest gibt es unzaehlige Riesenbaeume, die wirklich jedes Auto winzig erscheinen lassen. Hier steht auch der groesste Baum der Welt (General Sherman :-)). Er ist zwar nicht der hoechste und auch nicht der breiteste, aber sein Gesamtstammvolumen (1500 m3) ist unuebertroffen.

Last night at San Simeon was surreal, and felt quite dangerous. Me and Paul were playing pool and this guy came over, covered in tattoos, smelt of booze and smoke, and he asked us a lot of questions about where we were going, when etc, and invited himself in the pool game. At first I thought he was gay and thought we were too or something, but when he pulled out this medical tub of weed and asked us to smell it we assumed he was ...

... wir aber nicht wussten: das ist auch ein Restaurant und ehe wir uns wieder umdrehen konnten saßen wir schon an einem Tisch für zwei. Und das schlimmste, richtiges Geschirr und eine makellos weiße Stoffserviette. Da muss ich natürlich sofort an Siegis Worte denken: "...und wenn du eine richtige Tischdecke und richtiges Besteck willst, wirds erst richtig teuer...."

ABER: Wir sind ja hier nicht in einer typischen Touristenstadt und so hat es uns ...

At the Ranger Office we inquired about the trails and the kids picked up the young Ranger program. We did Meadow trail collecting sugar cones along the way and hoping to see ...

... we had found the Magpie Coffeehouse. It was located just south of the corner or Main and Market(on Market). The food that was being offered hit the spot perfectly. We both had cups of hot chocolate, which washed down a couple of freshly baked cinnamon rolls. It was exactly what we were looking for. I have to give a big recommendation for the Magpie Coffeehouse. The coffeehouse is open from 6:30 a.m – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7 a.m. – ...

... boring. Eventually, we could make out that the desert landscape was slowly being replaced by pine trees and tall grass. The change in landscape told us that we were getting close to Flagstaff. It wasn’t long before we saw the lighted sign of Flagstaff’s Holiday Inn. We pulled in and checked into our room. After a nine and a half-hour drive, we were ready for some serious sleep. The sleep was needed because we had plans to do some hiking at the Grand Canyon the next day.
