Pipestone Natl Mon -- very moving film about the history, and informative 1 mile walk. Spent two hours, then long drive to Missouri RIver at Lake Oahe -- West Whitlock.

There are a lot more trees than I imagined but I expect that is because the first settlers planted them just like Pa did in the books. Gas is getting cheaper. We just say it for 3.39 a gallon. From the Spam museum we traveled westward. The farm land is really pretty. We got off the highway at Sioux Falls to find some supper. It was the strangest exit. There were semi-truck dealers all along the road. We saw Volvos, Peterbuilts, and a few others. So exit 399 in Sioux Falls is the place to buy a big rig. After driving for a bit we finally found a mini-mall that had two restuarants in it, one pizza and the other Chinese. The kid ...
