    ... in town. So too did another waiter called Jacob who said he would be there tonight. After our huge steaks feeling stupidly stuffed we returned to our motel and spruced up.     ... the middle of nowhere, was as bare as the St. Louis campground was lush. Not only were the bugs Texas-sized, the birds on the campground seemed super-sized. I didn’t look them up in my Peterson or Audubon guide, but I’ pretty familiar with birds and I swear there were robin sized house-sparrows and crow-sized starlings. Scary.
