My first historic battlefield did not disappoint. Even though Ft. Donelson wasn't that large, it provided a great deal of history.

Out next stop on the way to St. Louis was Cadiz, Kentucky. We stayed at the Kentucky Lakes/Prizer Point Marina and KOA. The campground sits on Lake Barkley. Our site was right on the lake with a beautiful view. We arrived around 3:00 pm again and shortly thereafter went to explore the area.
