        ... just about come to the end of our little New England tour and have travelled through 6 states...at the moment we are in Newport, Rhode Island...home to some pretty rich folk and some serious boats!

        The weather has been great, blue skies and sunny days so we have been blessed. Back to Boston tomorrow for a week then On to New York...

        The truck and our Mexican slide-in truck camper made the 10 day journey from Mexico to Massachusetts!! It was a fast journey, and not very relaxing, but we wanted to get here and spend time here rather than sight see. We can do the sight- seeing when we return, which for now, PLAN – A, seems to be in September.

        We could have taken longer by spending more time at campgrounds, or we could have arrived sooner by spending more time driving. For ...

        Here are some of the places and activists we are going to do! Makakatana Bay Lodge - Boat Safari & Turtle Safari, along with Snorkeling in the Indian Ocean. This place says you fall asleep listening to the hippos! Cape Town - we are going to do lots here! Table mountain, coastal tour complete with penguin viewing, shark diving.... Yes shark diving!         ... back on the Freedom trail. We walked on the trail through Charlestown up to the Bunker Hill Monument where even though it was sweltering at 90 F we all walked up the small spiral staircase to the top of the monument all 294 steps. Felt so amazing to reach the top and to be able to stand for a moment and get some cool air coming through one of the small windows.
