Today was our last day in Maryland for a while. We celebrated the closing of our Maryland chapter by visiting The Narrows, a seafood restaurant right on the Chesapeake Bay. And I mean right on the bay. We sat out on the deck, and the water was right below us. We enjoyed an overpriced but tasty seafood lunch, and took some pictures out on the wharf. Pictures attached.

Pastor Buie fortified himself in the basement with his--what--62" television to watch Sunday football. We joined him for a little while, then it was time for dinner. We had a wonderful meal--beef, chicken, sweet potato, grilled vegetables, and biscuits. We watched ...
Salisbury, MD, Maryland, United States mikeandkelseySaturday afternoon, we felt like treating ourselves out. Nothing fancy--just the nearby mall. Nevertheless, we dresed up a little bit (a notch above our daily khakis and polo), and headed to the movie theatre. We bought tickets for a show later that night, and then spent the time until then browsing the stores. I got my 3-dollar watch resized, we browsed some new board games, and enjoyed some fantastic italian food in ...
Salisbury, MD, Maryland, United States mikeandkelsey... Thankfully we stopped at Panera when we did, or else we would have been hours away!
Since it was the first work day of the month, we did need to get our oil changed and mail our monthly paperwork. We just happened to pass a post office on the way back out of town.
Well... kind of a post office. It was a post office that shared space with an Eezy-Freeze or something... some run-down no-name restaurant. A woman was mopping the floor of ...

Come to find out, this boy was in the alternative education group--for troubled kids who are too disruptive to learn in a standard classroom.
We were both encouraged to hear some positive feedback from a kid. It had been a while. And it is what keeps reminding us that what we are doing is worthwhile.

Lots of people finishing off there summer holiday, an amusement park ( $3 Zipper rides ), a beach that was about 100metres wide almost dead flat with the boardwalk on the same level. Wouldn’t take much for the tsunami to swamp it. After a walk and an ice-cream ( Trev Vanilla Bean and Cath Peanut Butter ...
Milford, Delaware, United States cadelec... with lots to see. We woke up early Sunday morning, to hit the road by 8:00, with a two year old, and a 7.5 months pregnant wife we left at what we considered "on-time" - 08:20. The day was pretty chilly, with smell of rain in the air, but we figured it was just a warning to other likeminded people to stay away and give us our space. After a trip to the gas station and McDonald's for breakfast we hoped on the NJ Turnpike where ...
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States laorfamily... probably a combination of the two. The food is good, nice portions with optional sides, service was a bit lacking but we like to think it was because they were busy. Lunch for two and a half (including drinks, tax & tip) was around $70. Overall: Excellent trip on a Sunday, we will have to comeback in the spring or summer. Make sure the lighthouse if open if you want to go inside, they have their number on the website.

After two non-Banton performers, Cory and I were about as baffled as anybody should be at a concert. Eventually, the real Buju Banton did play. He was very good, and he indeed sounded like his CD's, which I would best describe as the voice of a mortally-wounded, gargling grizzly bear. The rendition of his hit song, "Murderor," offered a very-heartfelt request for people to stop killing others. After ...
