... good service, very nice man, looks like a nice marina in case anyone is in the area! Troy Federal Lock was the only one without hanging ropes, we had to loop our lines around a pipe instead. I have an extra leg on the journey: I have to get myself from Albany, NY to back home in Genesee County. This is basic geography working against me. I've packed up all the shorts and tanks I own, and it's time to take my little car across New York ...

... stop and take a picture of the statue of American Indians playing lacrosse. Our grandson Christopher is a great lacrosse player and we knew he would be interested. South of LaCrosse we encountered a detour which stymied our GPS. After a pause she came up with another route which was not looking good from the start. We plodded on with the road becoming slightly more narrow as we proceeded. After five and a half miles we encountered a very large ...
