    This was our big day for sight-seeing and we started in style with a drive up to West Cliff Drive and the many surfers that surf the famous break there. It's a great view from the cliffs down onto the ocean and there were a good few surfers out.     I was up at 6.30am and stuffing raisin bran flakes and clif bars in to try and build some energy. With all the travelling, apart from the 21km in Singapore I was pretty undercooked for a 30km trail run with over 1000m of climbing but I figured there are worst places to walk than in the Henry Cowell Giant Redwood national park!

    The plan was to be up and out at 9am, which was pretty ambitious. Isabel was completely knackered and was still fast asleep way past 8 but with Jen's help we rustled up a pretty decent breakfast.     ... too. We watched the sunset on a beach in Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Playing on the beach with my family was fabulous. And then, we managed to navigate our drive back home to our apartment in downtown SF. Without getting a divorce. Yee haw.
