We spent the night with our new German traveling buddies in their Jucy rental in the parking lot of a McDonald's. It was Gabi's idea to go in and ask permission to stay there, which the McDonald's employees were happy to grant. I must say it was terribly convenient to be able to use the bathroom and sink before going to bed, to charge up our camera, cell phones, and computer, and to start the day with a hot coffee ...

I say foolishly as I'm writing this on the Sunday having been ever so slightly under the weather today..... From the Red Room we went to Rosie McCanns Irish pub, listened to a band for a bit and then drove back to Sunnyvale. I can remember leaving and the next thing I was being woken up at the house..... Good night ...

... from the keepers. Next up is feeding time at the big open sea exhibit. They throw a lot of food into the water and the big tuna fish fly about and eat the food so quickly. Once all the big fishes have eaten their food the smaller fish get their lunch. Overall this is a really interesting thing to see and worth going to see. We walk around the rest of the aquarium to see the other exhibits before we leave Monterey.
