... bit of searching, the tiny bit of glass hiding away in the tyre was found. Santa Cruz is a seaside college town. It has a bit of an edge to it but quite cool. Brighton is probably our closest equivalent. For the evening, Ange had sniffed out a retro cinema and interesting film - Force Majeur - to go and see. The Nickelodeon cinema was like a mini Picture House and the Swedish film very thought provoking. It's about the aftermath of ...

We ended the night at the Mucky Duck followed by a few other local establishments where we met a variety of colorful characters (or maybe we were the characters....I can't be sure)

Side note: Chris' 'beard' is officially out of control.

... the big climbs, including 2 more mountain sized hills, the adrenalin rush of inching along roads set hundreds of feet up in the cliff face with nothing between you and a sharp drop to the ocean crashing far below.
Hairpin descents which, when traffic free, allow you to slalom down mid-road at white knuckle, bone shaking speeds.
The beauty, power and wildness of the ocean is life affirming, pure ozone, rocky outcrops pounded by surf, sea ...
