    ... and Sergio, step off the coach. They opened up the luggage area of the coach and the official took a cursory look. The official boarded the coach alone and was friendly and polite and went down the aisle, stating Buenos Dias to each person and asked in Spanish where people were from. Some in the group didn't know what he was asking and just looked at him. I finally said, "He's asking where you are from". He didn't take any passports and we were soon off ...

    Went to Mexico today cause it was only 30 miles south of here. Had lunch, did some shopping and KC joined a band..." Band di toe". Was fun but Mexico is Mexico..... Then went thunder egg hunting .. No eggs here, going to buy one and when I get home I'm going to tell you all I dug it myself...SO THERE!!!

    ... Highway 2 and than south on Mexico Highway 10.

    The early part of the drive followed the border and we were able to see the new fence that has been put in place by the USA. We also passed several groups of young men who were clearly trying to find a way to cross the border illegally.

    ... in the bathroom. I went to investigate and found the floor flooded and water seeping in through the ceiling. The concierge came quickly enough, but I'd forgotten to pack my copy of 'Useful Spanish Plumbing Phrases'. Eventually, over an hour later, all was resolved and I mopped the floor myself. Somehow sleep wasn't forthcoming after that - and with some relief the alarm chimed at 4.00am for the next step of the journey. The Copper Canyon ...

    ... maar om tortillas te verkopen. De drempels zijn zo link dat wij als fietsers echt moeten remmen anders vliegen niet alleen de spaken uit het wiel maar waarschijnlijk ook je tanden uit je mond.
