A travel blog entry by samifreeman-usa

We arrived in Orlando on the Monday 12th. The Greyhoud was an interesting experience, not my favourtie way of travelling but got us from a to b. The Hotel was fantastic... two double beds, we got to steel all the shampoo and conditioner and we had a microwave... couldnt ask for more.

The parks we went to were Universal, Islands of …

Tuesday was very wet so stayed at the Hotel all day. Wednesday we took the I-Trolley down to the last stop on International Drive then caught a Taxi to Downtown Disney. The I-trolley goes up and down International drive all day and you can just get on and off at any of the stops. We had decided not to do to the Disney World as the weather was a bit …

... this amazing, who needs meat!? After the kids leave the kitchen, Alberta and Ian ask how the kids behaved and I pause before I answer. I tell them I gave them a serve when they needed it but eventually I couldn't take it anymore and I left them for the afternoon. Alberta understands and we laugh as she says she knew she didn't need to tell me to give them a serve - she knew I'd do it if it was needed!

We’re all exhausted and head to bed early for another big day at Universal Studios ...

Great base to visit all the theme parks

    from anonymous

Quality Inn Plaza is an excellent base to enable you to visit all the theme parks, whether you are a driver or non driver. Rooms are cleaned to a high standard daily and offering 3 large pools, a lite bite supermarket and Sports Bar, it is all you need! No unnecessary fancy frills if you are looking for somewhere to chill out after a busy day at the Parks!

    Good Hotel

    from anonymous

Good hotel if you ask for a quiet room. In the back of the hotel, you are in front of the road with some noise. Possibility to take a breakfast in the restaurant. Front desk is ok. fridge, microwave and TV in the room.

    Trip Of A Lifetime

    from anonymous

Visit April 2003, Quality inn on par with a UK travel inn, good basic acomadation,a place to rest after a busy day at the parks, all the parks first class and out of this world, live the dream! PIRATES DINNER on carrier drive give it a miss! Expensive, second rate production, luke warm food, rushed service, management rude when faced with a dissapointed family given false information by their staff!

    Great Deal For The $$$

    from anonymous

Clean rooms, 3 large pools, lots of good entertainment within walking distance. Go to the hotel bar (Zebra's) and see David. He's a blast !! GREAT DEAL for your money.

    Average Hotel in good Location

    from Paulscatt

A large Motel with 3 small pools. Decor could do with a revamp. Rooms of a Motel Standard, but not enough storage space for anything other than a short stay. I had trouble with idiots banging on the door & ringing me up in the middle of the night which we could of done without. Safes in the room were also ancient which didn't inspire confidence in their security . Location was good though as the Hotel is located at the quieter end of International Drive. A car is required if u visit Disney otherwise the I Trolley stops right outside.Stayed end of April 2003

Have stayed at the Quality Inn Plaza 9 times over the last 10 years. The hotel is very average, functional and clean, but couldn't be in a better location. Situated centrally between Seaworld and Universal and only a short drive from WDW. The hotel restaurant can get crowded, but with 5 restaurants adjacent to the car park and lots more just over the road or within easy walking distance, this isn't a problem. The bar is small for the size of hotel, but have never had a problem getting a seat, and we are always made welcome. This year we took a party of 11 members of family, many of who had not been to Orlando before, and all are planning to return.

    Functional, basic, reasonably priced

    from anonymous

The motel is extremely large and very busy, with coaches arriving and departing day and night. Rooms are clean and functional - nothing fancy. Pools back on to the I4 (as do most on this side of the road) and the car park - the pools are small and busy - but clean. Cafe has excellent range of goods and bar is pleasant if small for the size of hotel. Restaurant is not cheap - but there are a variety of places close by. Reception staff harried and not very helpful.Good location. Overall: If you want to stay in Orlando at a cheap and functional motel this will do the job. Personally, too busy and noisy - not where to rest after a day at the theme parks!

    Very good value for money

    from anonymous

have stayed at the hotel 4 times. one of the best hotels on the drive. everything you need is on site. staff are friendly and helpful. great hotel for kids. highly recommend it to anyone. great hotel for a base, you can go on the ihop bus down the drive to beltz or walk to the pointe or the mecardo.

try it you will love it.

Better Than Expected / April 2002

    from anonymous

The lobby was pleasant, the buffet restaurant a little expensive, but fairly good food. Loved the gift shop! We had a ground floor room near the pool and lobby (restaurant), very convenient. I would not have liked one further away. The pool was average, but clean. The room was clean and well stocked. The refrigerator and microwave were very convenient! The snack shop was very handy. We didn't make it to the lounge, but it looked fun. The only disappointment was the price for the shuttle service to WDW. It was $11 per person, per day. (Did not know that when booking the room) We only went to Disney 2 days, but the 4 of us spent $88 on shuttle, very expensive but it offered muliple times, I've heard some hotel's free shuttles only offer once in morning and once at night. We came back to hotel early and swam when we got tired of walking at Disney. Point Orlando across the street(cool shopping center)very nice diversion. Would highly recommend this hotel, but be prepared to dish out $$ for shuttle service to Disney. (Universal Shuttle Free!)

    Good value for money

Both me and my husband have been to Florida for the past 6 years the theme parks and International Drive being the main attraction, we have stayed at Quality Inn Plaza twice as it is convenient and close to all attractions. Although very basic, a very friendly hotel and the Zebra Bar is a must!! outstanding service and bar snacks very good!!
