It would be one in a series of Gilded Age hotels catering to passengers aboard his Florida East Coast Railway, which had purchased the St. Johns & Halifax Railroad. Once a well-known landmark which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, the hotel was razed in 1992.

... I was a resident of the Villages! I took the golf cart and drove to the Town Square all by myself today. I pretended that Dave was out golfing with the guys for the morning! I went to the Hanes/Bass store which was running a buy 1 pair of shoes and get 2 pairs free.. I found 1 pair, but just couldn't find two other pairs.
