I had found a campground that was supposed to be discounted 50% and I wanted to take advantage of this discount...I had to drive right thru the middle of this beautiful old village to get to the campground. I only had one guy honk at me as I went thru....That's a good thing. I did find the place without any problems and pulled in.

Today we went canoeing down Ecofina creek. There were 7+ miles and it took about 5 hours. Very fun!! Still really windy with high waves and jellyfish at beach, so good day to go inland. Daddy's fav was the Turtle springs and Kyler catching a fish. The kids ...
The cave we toured is smaller than some of the other caverns we've toured over the years but it was unique. The formations look more like beach sand that you've formed shapes out of and the rock formations definitely look "Floridian". The walls of the caves had sea creatures embedded in them. We found shells and other fossilized items from when the area was under the ocean.
Overall it was a fun stop and a convenient stop as part of our larger trip. ...

We rolled on and pitched up at a rural campsite, at a farm homestead - this is horse country. Have just eaten more gumbo at their Mustang grill, but the only music playing was James Blunt unfortunately. Now the bullfrogs are competing loudly for attention and will continue all night. Very warm and humid here.
... and Flint rivers converge to form Lake Seminole, the setting for our morning coffee and pancakes. While we were incredibly thankful for a warm place to shower, dress and eat, our draw towards the outdoors came through and soon we were cooing over the loons, admiring the clear waters and seeking out the nearest trail.
