It's our first night....who called security???
... the voice on the other end said "Security outside your door, open up". Yes so we complied. We lowered the music, opened the door and turned on the lights as requested. But as soon as we explained to him that we were just trying to have a good time he basically kicked us out of the room. He mentioned that there was a noise complaint and we were to move our party else where on the cruise. His suggestion? Was to go to ...
Hollywood Studios! Part two
... here SUCKS SO BAD. I can’t think of other things, anyway. I’m not much of a parade person.
So, back to the Tower. I went on it 3 times, but the first time I went on with Dad and Miles. I was SO freaking nervous! ( I do love thrill rides, but the kind that involve G-force is kind of unnerving. ) You know all those rides that involve creepy sounds and effects? Kinda scary. But after we went past the bellhops and the ...

Historical Traveler Reviews Continental Plaza Hotel Kissimmee
Pass on this one
I don't know why I didn't believe the reviews posted. Wish I had. We were forced to stay here due to a package "deal" we purchased. Worst accomodations we've ever had. Mildew all over the inside of the shower curtain, noisy air conditioner. The carpeting was soaked near the entry door where the air conditioner was located. It was impossible to dry anything in the room because of the dampness. In fact, items that entered the room dry soon became damp. The sheets were paper thin as were the pillows. Never could get enough ice to fill the ice bucket. We were supposed to stay four nights - checked out after two. Never did figure out where the "beautiful lake scene" was. Can't figure where the "quality" comes in either. Do yourself a favor and pass on by the property and keep going.
Great if you like roaches
Good thing I paid dirt cheap for this place on priceline. There were ROACHES in my room, crawling out of the refrigerator, they crawled along the rugs and walls. They have the nerve to charge a $2 "resort" fee per day to cover the crappy 2-cup coffee maker and "pool towels" even if you never use them. Drunk students pounded on my walls and called my room at all hours. The "lake" next to the pool is nasty too.
Clean, safe, great value to go with the location
We spent 10 days here in May 2004. The room was clean and neatley kept. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. There is something for everybody with the free breakfast. Lots of resaurants and shopping within walking distance. We used the free shuttle bus to WDW the first day, but preferred to drive ourselves because it was more convenient. I have spent alot more money at other motels and got much less in value. This is a great place to stay for the money and I would stay here again. I would recommend if you make your reservation over the internet, to call the motel direct and make sure that it is correct before embarking on your vacation.
Quality, not quality
A cheap place to sleep but you wouldn't want to live there! We arrived late at night and they didn't have the type of room I had reserved. The next morning, the front desk staff was less than honest with me about room availablilty. I was told there would be none available, (they were completely booked) when the guy standing behind me in line was checking out of the room type I wanted! I may have gotten a non-smoking room, but the smell when you walked in was terrible. Don't expect much when they say a free continential breakfast. Watered down juice, bagles without cream cheese, and donuts from a box were less than appetizing. They did have free transportation to the parks but only one bus per day and there was standing room only.
No Pre-Paid Room at the Inn!
We pre-paid a one-night stay at the Quality Inn Maingate West using Expedia.com. We drove to Orlando and planned to arrive very, very late before we started a vacation at Port Orleans Riverside the next day. In order to save some money, we pre-paid the night at QIMW. When we arrived at 1:30 a.m., we were told that Choice Hotels had overbooked the hotel by seven rooms. They told us that we would have to go to a hotel 25 minutes away! We had three screaming kids in the car (who were awakened by the chaos) and were not about to go away from Disney when the entire purpose of staying there was to be as close as possible. We ended up paying way more for a room at Port Orleans Riverside for the night, but it was worth every penny to save our vacation. Thank you Disney!
We were treated very rudely. You would think that there would be some understanding given the fact that we had three young children and it was 1:30 a.m., but they front desk person didn't seem to care and we actually caught him talking about us to another customer who then sided with us.
I wouldn't touch this hotel with a ten foot pole. Do yourself a favor and stay onsite at one of Disney's Value Resorts. You'll probably pay about the same amount and the service will be leaps and bounds above what you get here!
Sub-standard
One night was enough for us. We had 3 rooms. There was mildew on the ceiling of the shower and water pressure was poor. The air conditioners are very noisey and one only blew warm air. Sheets didn't fit the bed right and kept coming off and the pillows were nasty! I find it hard to believe that this hotel was refurbished as they advertised. I read previous view and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Big mistake. I should have listen to the reviews!
Great Value
Our family spent 4 nights here. We were very pleased with our room. It was very neatly kept and we had no problems. The continental breakfast was very well done each morning. We had no problem finding something she would eat.
We will gladly stay there again if we go that way on vacation.
Disgusting
Never again. Room dirty and smelly, sheets that were a thousand years old that didn't fit the mattress, the smell was so bad my sinuses were out of control. When we turned on the air/heat device it blew out dirt that I wouldn't want to know the origin of. Toilet had a huge crack inside, wasn't sure it was safe. Moldy shower curtain. Please don't stay here, there are better options, you and your family deserve better. The Disney shuttle bus makes one of it's last stops here also, so if you even get on the bus you will be standing. Oh yea, the continental breakfast was also quite disgusting. I still feel dirty for sleeping there only one night.
Quality ???
only average place i'm afraid. claimed to have been refurbished.
however it had only been poorly re-decorated. Breakfeast was ok\good.
BEWARE i had some beer stolen out of the room, the front desk claimed the maid thought it was an empty bottle and on check out they tried to charge me for $3 worth of phone calls, when none were made. there are i'm sure better places for the price.
Quality stay
Clean rooms, courteous staff. Good continental breakfast.
