... of things that I remember hearing about as a child. Mum remembered seeing her nanna cook hoppers (pronounced oppers) - she used to sit on an low stool over an open fire in the courtyard and an hopper chatty used to be on the fire (that's the pan that they cook the hoppers in). Pepperwater is another thing I remember as a child - it's like a watery gravy which you pour over curry and rice - Andrea will remember pepperwater... hope I'm not making ...

... almost entirely during daytime. I boarded the plane in Bangalore at 7:50 and it was bright out; almost 24 hours later I was in SF still on the 23rd and still during day time. I was pretty much toast after all the flying and was happy that Jess' mom came to pick me up. She prepared some delicious dinner, I had a hot shower (my first in about 3 weeks) and shortly after curled up dead tired in a nice soft bed! Our cats Cody and Zoey curled up next to me. Ahhh...
