      ... the vehicles being powered by natural gas mainly, it is incredibly quiet round here relative to any other urban area I know. Engines don’t rev as loudly.       ... then went up to the Mission Santa Barbara for a visit there. It is quite large and also suffered some damage in 1926. It had a super laundry area which I reckon would have competed with the Glasgow Steamies! We set off South again . The beaches all looked great and there were 7 oil platforms out in the bay. Back on Hwy1 we could not see Faria beach because of the RVs parked all along the road. We stopped off in Ventura to get some cash and found a great All American Diner. ...

      ... between Disneyland and our new favourite Californian Adventure Park. It was decided that this park way more big kid friendly and even we teachers had a go at some of these colossal rides. We got to hear my squeal and see Mr Campbell's best poker face. We still insist we weren't that scared.
