Surfing was a full work out: you didn't know that you were working anything at the time, it's only after that you suffer!! After trying multiple times to get Uber to work (unsuccessfully) using the prepaid credit cards that I have brought with me, I remembered that I had my English credit card with me. So I tried it... This called for an impromptu roadside stop, a crawl through a barb wired fence and the eminent risk of a rattlesnake encounter just to document it. Making haste to beat sundown, we carved up the sandy desert roads and into out destination. A beautifully renovated home with an industrial flavour, highly appropriate and very ...

... somewhere I had the key. Sigh.

So after we got all our stuff upstairs into the apartment (which is actually someone's apartment...she's just not here) we grabbed some lunch and then we drove to the airport. Returned the car and caught a taxi back from the airport. Interesting experience as the driver was on the phone loudly for part of it, not paying attention so lots of swearing and braking ...
