Naples area was very interesting when you moved away from the main road and found yourself walking down a beautiful area of canals and small bridges and very expensive houses.

... als erstes (es war erst 7 Uhr, als ich mich von Dany & Christa verabschiedete) wollte ich nach Venice und dort eine Runde joggen. Ähnlich wie in San Diego waren auch andere bereits unterwegs, nur die Cafés und Souvenirstände hatten noch geschlossen. Dafür waren sie am Muscle Beach schon am Gewichtheben. ... and wonderful people, (and us!). We saw a man roller blading in stars and stripes speedos. Very very small speedos, lol! We also saw a person dressed as a tree on stilts. There was also crowds of people watching crews of rapping hip hop dancers. The boardwalk was full of tacky shops. We saw muscle beach, which was closed. Typically I was there too late to watch all the half naked sweaty muscly men there. Where was I, lost track for a minute ...

... The island was lovely and a great day was had. The main transport around the capital of Avalon is on golf buggies which you can hire by the hour, and we had some great views from the headland. The weather is still great here although it is expected to cool down after we have left !!!.We got the 4pm ferry back which meant poor Colin had to drive back through Southern Californias made rush hour traffic ...

... The time I had spent with Gelareh was simply incredible. She is an amazing person, one of these that I understand with without necessary words. We had known each other for just a few hours when she invited me to her house. She would drive me wherever I wanted, was very welcoming and in general fantastic. You are never going to forget people such as her. I truly hope that our friendship will last forever and that we will see each other many times in the future.
