          ... hours further north. We booked ourselves into a motel for the night. What a bloody nightmare. End of story. This is a couple who have retired and moved to this sheep farm to retire. They did the caravan thing for 10 years so know what it's like to get off the road over Christmas. We just have to look after chickens and the vege garden.           ... young people piled out along with an enormous amount of camping gear. We doubted it would all fit back in! Turns out they were Italians on their way to Sydney then Brisbane to pick fruit. If they did some seasonal rural work they could get an extension on their visa.
