Ron is a member of CHANY and the entire Ryan crew was there. The conference was great and I had a great time. While ron was attending the workshops I went sightseeing by myself.I walked over 15 miles, had lunch and tasted the water in the springs.

We left Ballston Spa with lots of tears all around. We have had a wonderful time enjoying the everyday routine of the kids and being able to participate in their activities. It is very hard to leave. We spent the night in Tremont PA which is in the Appalachian Mts. When we woke up the temp was 43 degrees! We drove on down rt 81 toward our destination of Farmington Pa and Fallingwater. This stretch took us longer than anticipated because we had to cross the Appalachian and Alleghany ...
... really rock when the horses are running. Even now it's plenty busy. Beautiful historical buildings and homes, and too many tasty bars, bistros and restaurants to manage in less than a year. And the leaves haven't even changed yet. The race track is huge. Five race tracks, and 84 barns capable of holding 2000 horses. ... heron flew off and the geese waddled away as we continued back to the take-out. Up the rocky bank, I stumbled and worried about getting the boats up, but Otto dragged them most of the way up the bank. We had the extra effort of driving to collect Otto's car as we had transferring my kayak & stuff into his vehicle on the way in. This time I had my keys - or rather Otto was safeguarding them.
