    Drove 320 miles from Columbia, MO to Santa Claus, Indiana. As we were driving through St. Louis, we stopped at the Arch, which was right near the St. Louis Cardinals baseball stadium. Briefly visited the museum under the Arch, and then had lunch at Caleco's.     Arriving in French Lick is such a surprise. You're driving, driving, driving....then all I a sudden you round the corner ...there sits the most magnificent building you've ever seen. West Baden. So beautiful and so elegant. We went a little further to the French Lick Springs (where the Casino is located). We had planned to eat at the buffet/cafeteria but they stopped serving at 2 pm. So we decided to go back to the rotunda, West Baden.

    ... Vidalia onions and an avocado, and eat microwaved corn on the cob that we had purchased at the local grocery store. It was very good. If you have not microwaved your corn on the cob, you need to throw away those pots of boiling water, shucking, and time consuming task of taking the silk off, and learn to microwave it in the husks and just pop them out of the husks with NO silk attached.

    It has just been getting colder and colder since I got here! When I woke up this morning it was only 10 degrees. My bag is a15 degree bag and was not doing the job.
