Ballarat, Victoria, Australia drownsroundaus... him a fifty cent piece for the entertainment. We had also managed to see the red coats firing their muskets into the air and all the other characters on set like school teachers and their pupils and the local police and prisoners walking about. We bought a two day pass which incuded the Gold Museum across the road and the Eureka Centre which we visited the very next day. Well it's time to blog off and the next time we blog we will be in Tasmania. Yaaaaaaaay! Bye for now.
Ballarat, Victoria, Australia serenitynowSunday morning I went to Fullerton College to attend my daughter's graduation. It was a complete surprise to her, she had no idea that I was going to be in California. My daughter Kari has achieved so much and I am an incredibly proud father. I attended the graduation with Kari's mother, Lynn, her husband, Jason, and Kari's two children, my grandchildren, Cierra and Jason Jr. The ceremony ...
Ballarat, California, United States fatoldbiker... to energy there must have been a battle I couldn't have been at today... for the energy didn't seem light enough for me to battle on my own". I thought how much I despised this feeling. But knew I felt okay once I went further and further away. I ended up at park I never really been to but always seems to pass by when I was on the train heading to the city of Melbourne. It was a botanical garden and I saw an elderly man sitting on a stool, under a tree painting ...
Mailing Rd., Australia carolinesheart... Then Mum, Earl, Rose, Wayne, Carol,Col and Eden all came, so lovely time with all the family together. (so glad we got those good hours sleep on the plane!) So this diary comes to an end and now that its done Im sure Ill be glad in the years to come to have it and relive a little of what we experienced. ....... I need a day or two to think about things and then I might TRY to write for myself my impressions but trying to do it now Im finding it ...
Melbourne, Australia themurphys... the tower to view Melbourne from aloft. Next day we played golf with Mark while Renee caddied. Played the Yarrabend course which, despite the drought, did have somewhat green greens. Of course they were only using recycled water to keep the grass alive. Lack of rain is a common theme here as the water reservoir is down to about 20% capacity and they are desperate for a long steady few weeks of rain ...
Melbourne, Australia pstpHappy new year to you all. It has been a very busy month or so since we arrived back into melbourne, with christmas festivities happening and spending time with our families and catching up with a few friends still more to catch up with before we head to Tassies soon. Our christmas was great especially since i wasn't at work this year i could enjoy it a lot better and spend the time on christmas eve with chris for his birthday which we spent with a ...
Warrandyte, Australia wanderingwoosie... it was largely to do with the alcohol, but I know my mums reading this sooo(Note to Mum , I didn't drink too much , im not a boozehag) Okay so of course I was late to work again (im making a habit of it even though it is 10mins walk around the corner.) Work was busy and they are trialling the most annoying girl who claims to be a Kiwi although she has the most stereotypical oz accent ever! Okay work was **** , but it was only to be made worse when he asked me to leave half an hr ...
Melbourne, Australia lillireneei.e. what the hell am I doing in Ballarat, VIC, Australia?? I got dropped off here by my sleepy hitchhiker picker upper guy (who I drove most of the way for), because of my blisters preventing me from hiking the gramps. I made my way all the way around the Gramps, and here I am in desert-dry Ballarat, where the huge lake has been sucked dry, leaving nothing but a large grassy plain with harbours around it. Ballarat has about one-hundred thousand, but they ...
Ballarat, Australia fourloves... gave us a good idea of the vastness of the forest and the plains. At MacKenzie Falls we opted to view them from the top walk rather than from the base. We were advised that although you get close enough to touch the water at the bottom, the view is limited because of the proximity to the falls. The walk was about 1.7km round trip and we saw Kangaroo Tail, which is a bushy grass which gros ontop of a palm like trunk. It is so named as in times of disturbance, including fire ...
