    I expected chilly mornings at some point but day 2? It was 57 this morning. That's winter weather in Tampa. Put liner in jacket and turned on heated seat an grips for a while. I was prepared for that in Alaska, not Tennessee. Still, it's not raining and 57 so gotta love that. Road the interstate until West Frankfort IL ...

    Sunday, June 1st, Tony, Noel and I was driving around Clarksville checking out some lovely old Victorian Homes on Madison Street. We were making our way over to Route 79 Flea Market, while going there I noticed the sign about Fort Defiance..so once we were finished at the flea market I made the turn out the side road to the Park.

    We were going to try The Lodge but it was closed so we opted to go to BWW. Everyone in our party loves BWW and it was our first trip to this particular location in Clarksville.

    ... is run by the army corps of engineers and this morning the park ranger came by and said they were closing down the campground as of noon because of the government shut down. We packed up quickly and moved out, along with about 230 other campers. People were not happy to say the least.

Read the signs and enjoyed the quiet evening sitting around listening to crickets and far away frog noises..it would have been so romantic to have been here when all this was a major hay day area..
