... was the first road connecting east and west coast. The glory of the past is even more to be seen between Oklahoma and Texas. We gave up Santa Fe when we knew that today we could just make until Amarillo Texas. It's been a long couple of days since I posted last. If I remember right, which isn't guaranteed at all at this point, I started yesterday from Amarillo with the intention of making it to Oklahoma City. Before I left Amarillo though I heard from a friend on Facebook that his cousin owned a burger joint there, so I went ahead and stopped in at the Golden Light Cafe and Cantina. I don't know what the Golden Light was about but the chili was great!

Our waiter from earlier arrived and introduced us to his barely 18 year old fiancée (he's 26) and her twin who was now dating their lesbian friend who the fiancée had been previously engaged to.
