... the wall and people dressed up as cowboys and cowgirls it was like a throwback to cowboy times :) I ordered a 8 oz sirloin steak with Caesar salad and jacket potato and a good old pint of American bud it was delicious :) Me, Stef and Sofia had a chilli eating comp, me and Sofia didn't even flinch...girls rule! After dinner it was time to bed down in our nice cute cozy cabins ready for the mammoth 5 hour drive in the morn Night y'all ...

... was a country trio, a bass player - aged early 70's, a guitar/singer - aged early 80's and the star, a violin player - Mr Bill Young - aged late 80's/early 90's who carried a portable oxygen pack with him. They were great, could play anything, as long as it was American Country, although they claimed to know "Pub with no Beer".

The other side show can come from the diners, they offer a 72 ounce ...

... noticed it was getting hotter and by 5pm it was 31 degrees. We checked into our hotel and later went for dinner at a local mexican restaurant where we enjoyed enchiladas and tacos and corn chips with spicy salsa. On the way home we did another drive-by of the main drag to see what hotels had their neon signs turned on, but it was either too early with it being dusk, or most signs are not working anymore. We headed home well fed and happy with todays adventures. ...

... cotton, cows and crude oil, kick up clouds of dust. Texas is massive!!! Driving over the border and another time zone into New Mexico is much the same…huge, slightly less flat with a couple of mountains plonked on the horizon (the nearest being Haystack Butte!) and the road just goes on and on and on...

Exactly what we were expecting but on a much bigger scale and we're still only just over half way across...

... RV Museum before leaving. His family has run the RV business since 1974 and he has collected old travel wagons and restored them. The museum is free and wow what a collection restored to pristine condition. It shows what we have been doing, folks have been doing it for generations and in what style. Thought I would dedicate these pictures to the IAH. I was impressed by the 1948 ...
