... was it raining steadily, but it had been raining steadily for nearly 24 hours, and, they said (quite plausibly), the trails would be very slippery. Not the best conditions for rank beginners. We asked about tomorrow, but they said the forecast was for more of the same, and then they offered a raincheck good for six months, at which point, we agreed, with some relief. We intended to go to the ballgame tonight--the Bluefield (West Virginia) Blue Jays vs. the Princeton Rays, but it started raining about 3:00 and never let up. ... s sky-high bridges. We marveled at how the bridges could have been constructed. We traveled on excellent highways without the heavy traffic on so many interstates. Would love to come back and spend more time here.

It was a good learning experience though and it was super fun to watch Fox attempt one of the hardest routes I had ever seen. He's a beast.
Once we got back I could only hang around the fire for a bit because I had to Drive another 4.5 hours to work... 9 Hours drive for a less then 24 hour trip... yeah never again.
