... Back on the bus and as the sky was now clear, Greg and I decided to do the Willis Tower Skydeck, so we completed the loop and learnt that the Maccas opposite our motel has the 3rd largest turnover of any shop in the world - topped by Moscow and another city I can't remember right now! Also learnt that the Fado Irish Pub we had a beer in yesterday was actually built in Ireland, but was dismantled and reassembled here in Chicago! A bit ...

... a lady just about to enter - she heard our accents and that we were arriving and walked a block to make sure we knew where we were. The helpful ness continued and has done the whole time we have been here. Travelodge room was spacious with 2 big beds and small area with sink, fridge and microwave. Good size bathroom and storage area. The hotel is excellently placed just off Michigan avenue which leads to over to the parks just a 2 minute walk. The reviews said the lifts were slow - ...

Kings and he wanted to be home in time to watch it on the television. While the others were waiting for the pizza and purchasing more wine to take home with it, ...

... you to a local drink, particularly a shooter, chances are it’s gross. After the pickle back in NYC, the Cesar in Ottawa, the Chicago bar tenders won hands down with a shot of Malort. There is nothing redeeming about the taste, take a look at the video link that I feel aptly demonstrates the taste of Malort. This was followed by a cinnamon whiskey, horrid if you hate cinnamon and a thing we’ve photographed but could not remember for the life of us. Photos shed no ...

... from downtown Chicago, we tried a fairly new American innovation that we had read about on US websites and which had been recommended to us by a few of the locals we met in Chicago. This is the Uber car service. You download an app to your smartphone, register and associate a credit card with your account, When you need a ride, you open the Uber app and tell it where you want to go. The app gets your location using ...
