Leaving before sunrise. Great Basin is what America is about. Huge plains with small mountains range on each side. When the dark goes away, the snow shows orange pinkish reflections, the rocks turn red and the fields of yellow grass just add to the picture of the morning waking up. Even with a good camera I cannot offer the view that only your eyes can see…or maybe a good photographer could. Respek !

He also showed us Bright Angel which is a trail I could never ever ever ever contemplate doing. It's a trail that heads up a "mountain", up a load of switchbacks, to the top of the plateau.
