          ... having to find a secure foothold through the rushing water. Our poles were invaluable keeping us upright and helping us find a safe passage through tricky rocky sections of water. It was great fun and time flew by as we ventured deeper into the canyon. By the end of the trek we all felt pretty weary but we also felt that we had really experienced something special. Back on the bus and back to the lodge for a soak in the hot tub and a well earned beer.

          ... course the Hidden Canyon Trail is closed for construction. So we look at the other hike on offer next to it called “Observation Point”, it said that you gain 2000 elevation gain over 800m (and starting at 4000ft). It was deemed strenuous and that it would take the average person 5hrs. It was now 4pm, and we thought we could smash it out.           ... before we headed out. The only thing on the itinerary was hiking "The Narrows", as we wanted to take our time and really enjoy this hike. As we headed into the park, we saw signs saying the parking lots in the park were full and we had to park just outside the park entrance. Once in the park, we all changed into the hiking shoes and socks needed for hiking The Narrows and headed over to get on the shuttle bus.
