... begin by freely admitting to have managed (gee, I wonder how?) to miss the first three films in this series, including the famous Jurassic Park. So maybe there is something here that I am missing, but basically I thought that the "story" was just silly. I will post here my list of the five stupidest aspects of the movie; the difficulty was honing it down to five. Trust me: I could have posted 25. ... swimming pool, which is currently closed "until further notice," according to numerous signs posted around the park. From the pool, we spotted the actual park office, which turns out to be closed on weekends, when the park is most likely to be filled to overflowing with people. As a last resort, we tried the campground check-in stand, and, lo and behold, not only was it open 20 minutes early, but there was, indeed, also a trail map.
Second comedy ...
In the end, we got to the campground at about 6:45, only to have to drive back into town (only 2 miles) to get firewood, as they don't sell it in the park. We ate dinner at 9:30, but we ate it—fire roasted sweet potatoes and grilled salmon with mango-tomato-jalapeno salsa. It was quite delicious.
While Tim was getting the fire going, I toddled off to another part of the park ...
... get some washing started, and head out to Walmart to go on the search for some 4th of July gear. We found a navy blue t-shirt with USA written on it for me, and a very pretty girls singlet for Aaron (as the boys gear was too big for him). So an XL female USA star/flag singlet it was (lucky there is a lot of gay pride around USA at the moment, haha). So we head home after gallivanting around Walmart getting our much wanted supplies.
