... so we headed to a part of the city called Seaport. It was lovely little area with food outlets, bars and tourist shops selling local craft. We all enjoyed a bite to eat, a nice cold drink and a chance to sit down and rest for an hour. Alex and Aidan sampled a local beer and the kids enjoyed Ben and Jerry’s ice cream to finish off our visit to Seaport.

Ummmm okay, no wonder we can’t stay in the campground… there is not only a fire but they’re putting criminals in tents in the same area. I am totally okay with evacuating if that’s the case!

Chinese New Year Celebrations - Admittedly you will have to be extremely lucky to be able to see this but I was there at the time and really enjoyed it. The San Diego Chinese community put on a weekend long festival of all things Chinese. There were many Lion dances, Chinese music and instruments, Demonstrations of everything from Kong Fu to Tai che, singing and great Chinese food.
