... try and clean off driveways and sidewalks. We got off the road in NC for lunch at Cracker Barrel, gas and a trip to Walmart for more windshield washer. It was around 25 at this point and we are so glad we wore boots, ski jackets and scarves...it was slippery and cold. ... Boardwalk Trail. Although most of the elevated boardwalk was closed, a short section that leads to an overlook on Weston Lake was still open, so we were able to go out there for views of the oxbow lake. There was Spanish moss hanging from trees along the shore making for a beautiful scene. ... OH and they had bought a home in FL...on their way to furnish it. Another guy we talked to was from Salem, OH. He sat with us and we learned he is a trucker who was taking his daughter to FL to college. Then there was an older lady there who also was headed to FL...never found out why...but she was from west of Cleveland! So, breakfast was an official Buckeye meeting! ;-) Off to our next ...
... I bet he was the truck parked next to us..... He said,"hey!!" Not in a friendly way but in a wtf way. He then watched me walk back to the cab (I think he was bewildered). Yes, I have a pee pot (more about that later). Men can just hang off the side of the truck. Fueling up takes a long time....we have a small tank. They can get up to 300 gallons though. To fill the tank on this truck can cost $750! Besides fueling there ...

I was out walking Willow the morning we left Santee and came across two fellows who had just returned from fishing. I asked them if they had a good day, and one of them showed me a 30+ pound catfish. Yes, a good day!!
