... Mark lost his Colorado hat (that he had somehow held on to the whole year) in the Corpus Christi airport. But the day wasn't all bad. Our long layover in Dallas meant that we had time to scarf down Qdoba burritos (Chipotle has to wait until Colorado). Mark re-filled his coke with a giant smile on his face - something he's been looking forward to. We also drank from water fountains, used the toilet paper, ...

And there I was, naked, drunk, and floating under the stars . With each gap between waves I thought I was finally at peace with the ocean. Then another wave would come and smack me across the face. It got to the point where I got up, yelled and started letting the waves hit me dead on. ... morning Kelly procured coffee and kolaches from somewhere and brought them back to the room. We walked around the town for a bit, looking at antique stores and gift shops. Ate lunch at the Dodging Duck Brewhaus - really good hamburger and pretzel. Boerne is a great little town; somewhat like Fredricksburg but much smaller and less crowded (but it was a Wednesday, weekends might be busier). We might have to come back here we liked it so much.

Mustang Island, Texas….. who would ever think a RV would fit down here, and who would ever think we would come down here to find out? As soon as we arrived that first day, we walked down to the beach—we were in high winds, high waves, and higher piles of seaweed on the beaches, but it still was a fun afternoon on the beach. Why are the laughing gulls out in full force? Are they laughing at us?

    Sand Fest

Today was a good day. After breakfast and the membership meeting, we waited for the Robin, Delia and the boys to arrive. They came down for SANDFEST. This is one of the times when "sculptors" build some fancy type sand castles. Another time is in the fall when South Padre has SAND CASTLE DAYS.

Robin et al arrived and Bob dropped us at the fest area (he didn't want to go). Where he dropped us was about 1/4 mile from the ...
