And so it goes. But please don't read this entry as a complaint. We are so lucky to have our wonderful, comfortable home here. Yes, it demands upkeep and when we leave for an extended period of time is shouldn't come as a surprise to us that things need attention.
We are looking forward to the fast approaching holidays, but now need to take care of business!

We also quickly reconnected with friends, dining or meeting for drinks with many of them during the week. It been a lovely warm return for us.

... of people don't have a very good pension (apparently state pensions don't really exist- at least not like they do in the UK-where most people can live off it). ... around the shops and stopped for a coffee and to open my birthday cards. It's so warm, it really doesn't feel like my birthday -apparently its snowing at home-Luton airport has had to close! Was lovely to open some cards. My best friend jess (who gave me a card in aug-that's ridiculous planning!) always puts confetti in her cards-but for some reason, I forgot this. I opened the card whilst sat outside the cafe, and it exploded glittery champagne glasses all over me! Made ...
... minutes to unpack our bags and start some laundry. We then set off for Publix to replenish the fridge and pantry. I wanted to check out Cosco and Trader Joe's but Lars really didn't have the stamina to tackle two new grocery sources on our first day back so I'll do that tomorrow.
