Off to Kentucky!  We were so excited to have our "sister" Thea with us for the next 10 days!  We planned to show her the best of times.  We headed off on our first day into Kentucky.  We traveled for 3 hours trying to cross the Mississippi.  After driving until the sign said, "Road ends in water in 500 feet" we backtracked to our starting point of the morning.  A four hour trip ended up being a 7 hour journey.  We were ...

The Travel Ball got broken in. As we take our trip around the world, we're taking the world's beautiful game with us! The challenge: to get at least 50 juggle touches on the ball without it touching the ground. Where will it be next? The top of Lookout Mountain? St. Peter's square? On a train? The travel ball gets marked with the location and the signature of anyone besides the Miller boys who participated. Let the games begin!

... distillery, started in 1812. Steve, our Guide, was VERY passionate about his bourbon. In the storage area, we shared the "Angels Chair". The aroma of thousands of barrels of Bourbon in various stages of aging is quite amazing. Then, the tasting, followed by the mandatory stop in the gift shop to purchase a bottle (and some Bourbon Balls). NIce day. Texas Roadhouse next door to hotel. All good.

We stayed at Bill and Kat's horse farm for four days. First time we had dried camp and the campsite was the best! On Kentucky bluegrass overlooking the horses in their paddocks. I didn't know KY was so beautiful! Kat's horse Queen Song just had a foal. Queen Song is a pedigree thoroughbred but was let go by Clairborne Farms for unruly behavior. But after coming to their farm she calmed down and has become a great mom. QS is white but her foal ...
