My goal is to visit as many American iconic places in the United States, and I'm so grateful that I have a job that allows me to do this.

One of the first places I have visited was the Lincoln Memorial.

This monument is so inspiring and breath taking.

Day 2 found us back in the city. We chose to do a trolley tour, which was narrated and allowed us to get on and off at the various stops. Our walk continued back to the Hotel. We stopped at Trader Joe's so that we could get some food for dinner. A "home" cooked meal and a glass of wine.....yummy.... Then another walk through Foggy Bottom............

Back at the hotel now, planning our day of exploring for tomorrow. Off to Virginia, to the National Cemetery.

        One step closer!

My group and I have finally arrived at the Dulles Airport. Now we wait oh so patiently for our flight to take off. While I am waiting with my group from school, I am pleasantly interrupted by a wonderful surprise, and that is by my dear friend Skyler Cumbia, who is a Chick-fil-a buddy and who is also traveling internationally for her missions trip! Comes to find out we have the ...

... front of us was incredibly moving so I clicked and clicked, kept walking closer taking shots all the way up to the building. We then noticed a large water pond in front of us between us and the Capitol building and the xmas tress was twinkling. Then I noticed the Capitol building and the xmas tree were reflecting in the water and the most wonderful shots were created, yep, maybe out of focus and grainy but real shots, taken exactly as I saw it! Mate, it gives ...
