... rolls & clam chowder. Very tired after 2 weeks on the road. May sit for a while here & just read. This town is where the Bush summer estate is situated. Wikipedia it, bloody gorgeous! The gift shop in town is unashamedly anti-Obama rather than pro-Bush. They sell lots of stuff bagging Obama. Driving to maine we decided to open a Disco tech bar with Mashups of modern day pop re-mixed disco. Tvs, led disco ball, and roller skates. Le Disco Tech was born. Visited USM so basil could really re-live his days working the mailroom, and his daily meetups on the smokers bench. And they have Creamsicle colored fire hydrants. ... and decided that the injury wasn't that bad, so they left him to rest for the day and eventually he went back into the water on his own.

After that the drive up to Maine was quite boring, taking 495 to skirt around Boston, getting caught in a little bit of Friday traffic, but not too much, and eventually making it up here to Brunswick just in time to watch the Giants lose Game 3. C'mon Boys, get it together!

... it ended up costing us in lost gambling money anyways. The food was good at the buffet. We drove to the Bay of Fundy Hopewell Rocks which had closed for the season but we were still able to hike in to view the highest tide in the world. Impressive! From there the coastal route along Hwy 114 to Saint John and it was a crummy road under construction. In Saint John we parked at the Walmart overnite ...

... although we weren’t so impressed by the tacky Halloween decorations scattered about.
