Up early today heading off to one Barb and Eleanor's favorite places, Golden Lake about 1 - 1 1/2 hr North West of Ottawa. So up we loaded "Eleanor's " soft top covertable, a Chrysler Sebring navy blue with wood trim dash - Woo Hoo! look out Thelma and Louise ( but was a bit cold for the top down) We stopped for a beautiful lunch at the Antrim Truck stop which looked nothing like a truck stop. ... lane highway (only one lane going in each direction). I don't especially like driving or being a passenger in a car on a busy road when the traffic is going in opposite directions. So we left North Bay late morning (after having our included hot breakfast).
The drive from North Bay to Golden Lake is approximately 4 hours long. The drive from point A to point B is quite beautiful with lots of breath taking scenery.
We stopped several times along the way to go to the bathroom and to stretch our legs.
