Today was another smooth day of travel, marked by a feeling of expansive, open-heartedness.

This area is over a mile above sea level. We have been asked whether we are feeling the thinner air but I don’t think we have noticed any difference. Apparently a lot of people feel light headed or suffer with headaches until they adjust. We have been lucky. It is surprisingly flat but the foothills of the mountains are not far away and look beautiful with snow on some of the peaks. ...

They had lovely positions but it wouldn’t be a good place to be if they had a flood or tsunami. We enjoyed just being able to go for a good walk. The weather was lovely.
