... we stopped in the Australia Shop where Erin found a beer stein magnet and I bought a pretty blue scarf.
Our next stop was Icicle Brewery where Derek and Larry each got a different flight of beer. One was their regular beers and the other was their seasonal beers: Crossout Pilsner, Dirtyface Amber, Bootjack IPA, Dark Persuasion German Chocolate Cake Ale, Colcuck Raspberry Wheat, Khaos Kolsch, Oak-aged Lifeguard, and The Decline Barley ...
Then we stopped at the Sausage Garten for another pitcher of Dunkles beer. This time I got a cider. This place was outside but had overhead heaters and standing heaters to keep us warm. We didn't need our jackets at all. They also had live entertainment, a woman who sang some of her own songs and other popular songs. She was pretty good. Then we walked back to the hotel and went to bed.
So smoky due to the fires! We just wanted to get some air, finding the fresh stuff just south of the US/Canadian border.
We stopped at a fruit stand in Summerland to get gifts. Stopped at the border to give them all of our tomatoes and green onions. Stopped to convert the car's electronics back to miles from kilometers. Finally stopping at Leavenworth for the ...
... farms everywhere we look. Cherries, peaches, nectarines and apples seem to be the most popular and we stopped at a farm shop to take advantage of the local freshness. Yum yum!
Bed tonight was at Money Creek Campsite. It was quite cold and a bit damp as we were in a forest. Not sure how those fires are getting going!
