    Day 3: Treasure Hunting!

    ... who had helped Esen.
    After we were done, they took our findings to identify them. I appreciated that they sorted each type of stone into different small ziplocks and labelled them. Much more fun for us.

    Then, we continued with the gem theme stopping at the Gem Museum in Franklin. Housed in an old jail, it offered a guided tour with free admission and gave all kids 3 polished stones each for free.

    ... the vehicles stay dirty looking. We had trouble finding a lot of mileposts - either non existent or in the ditches. The scenery was magnificent and we are glad that we had good weather to see most of it. We will also return to the parts of British Columbia that we gave short shrift to on our rush home.     steve - Left Marion and set off on using the interstate for a few miles then enjoyed fabulous scenery through the Blue ridge mountains.
    made it to iron springs for lunch and a gang of Hardly dangerous riders trucked up. And then the heavens opened, proper Spanish type downpour.

    ... the majority of Lake Chatuge. There were huge RV's and mansions lining the banks of the lake all with private moorings and pontoons housing ski boats, jet ski's and fishing boats.
